Asserting that “all is well” with ‘Kavalan’ (name changed for 3rd time), Vijay’s 51st film, director Siddique has said that the film is in its last stages of completion and would hit the screens in December. “Vijay fans will have two Deepavalis (Diwali) this year”, he said.
The ‘Kavalan’ team, including Vijay, Asin, Vadivelu and Siddique, met the media in Chennai Thursday night. “The film has come out well and it will show a different Vijay, who will be loved by one and all”, the director said.
Expressing happiness on joining hands with Siddique after ‘Friends’, Vijay said, “He is a gifted filmmaker who knows the pulse of the audience well. From romance to comedy to action, ‘Kavalan’ has everything in it”.
On her part, Asin said, “I am happy that my comeback movie in Tamil has got a very strong character for me. This is my third film with Vijay (the earlier ones were ‘Sivakasi’ and ‘Pokkiri’) and it’s a delight to work with him”.
Saying that he learned the nuances of comedy while working with Siddique in ‘Friends’, Vadivelu said, “The magic has been recreated in ‘Kavalan’. Scenes involving me and Vijay would bring the roof down. All credits go to Siddique”.
